Some Happy Mail + A Card

I love getting happy mail, don't you??   Today I got happy mail in the form of my comp. copy of the April issue of Scrap & Stamp Arts.  Scrap & Stamp Arts have been so kind as to publish lots of my cards, put a couple on the cover and even publish a article that I wrote!  I really like Scrap & Stamp Arts!  Occasionally they have a card challenge  The most recent one was a challenge to use the color combo of turquoise and black.  So I sent them one card and ya know what???  They picked my card as the winning card!!  How cool is that??

Anyway... on to my card.  Today's card is for two challenges:  ODBD Shining the Light challenge and the Waltzingmouse sketch challenge.  The ODBD challenge this week is a "choose your challenge" challenge.  The ODBD design team gave us 10 past challenges to choose from to make our card.  I chose to use the "Distress It" (ODBDSLC22) challenge. 

I stamped the dogwood image from the ODBD set "Grow in Grace" on cream cardstock and colored with the following Copics:  B000, B00, E57, YG93 & YG95 and then trimmed it out.  I stamped the border image from the WMS set Victorian Frippary on to cream cardstock with SU! Baja Breeze.  I then inked the edges with Ranger's Old Paper Distress ink.  The edges were further distress with a distressing tool.  The sentiment from the ODBD set "Don't Worry" was also stamped using Baja Breeze.   The patterned paper is from the DCWV mat stack "Linen Closet".  Everything was finished off with some Very Vanilla seam binding from SU!.  I made the triple bow using the Bow Easy.  I'm still not completely comfortable with the Bow Easy so my bow isn't the best...
