A Rose...

This week the Shabby Tea Room is celebrating its birthday and so I decided to play along with the challenge.  I recently purchased this Penny Black stamp "a rose" and have been wanting to ink her up and do some coloring.  First off I have to say that generally I'm not a big fan of people stamps.   But, back in the late fall that all changed when Penny Black released these fantastic Christmas stamps that featured the most incredibly drawn ladies (Christmas Usher, Sparkes at Christmas & Mademoiselle Noel).  This spring they added more to the line, "a rose" being one of them.  Love, love, love those ladies.

So... for my card I took my inspiration, obviously, from the inspiration photo provided by the Shabby Tea Room.  I colored "a rose" with the following Copic markers:  RV000, RV00, RV02, RV04, YG03, YG23, YR31, Y21, E50, E21, E13, E33, E57 & C1.   The papers are from the 6x6 Basic Grey Green at Heart pad.  I added a bit of glitter to the center of each rose, but it is hard to see.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Thanks for taking a peek...

Supplies:  Cardstock:  PTI white; SU! Blushing Bride; Copic markers; Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black & Rose Bud; Art Glitter; Spellbinders Labels 4 dies; SU! Scallop Edge punch; Basic Grey Green at Heart pp; Stamps:  Penny Black "a rose"; Hero Arts.
