Silver Rose....

Hey there... happy Saturday!!  Time for another Less is More challenge.  This week Chrissie and Mandi are challenging us to use something metallic on our project.  So... as I sat here at the computer early this morning I pondered what I was going to do.  I have plenty of metallic supplies (paints, sprays, brads, etc), but nothing really jumped out at me as something I wanted to use.   Then I remembered that I had a partial sheet of flexible metal foil that I bought from Close to My Heart aloooong time ago (they no longer sell it).  I also remembered that I have some Spellbinders/Donna Salazar dies (Rose Creations and Carnation Creations) that I have NEVER used!   So I put the two together and made a silver rose using the Rose Creations dies. 



The layout is based on the current sketch from Clean & Simple.  I used some Waltzingmouse stamps (Victorian Frippery & Fancy Phrases) for the card.   In order to really get the full effect of the rose you might want to click on it to make it bigger.

    Wow the rose looks so good in metal, must have been so tricky to shape as the metal creases so easily. Love the patterned border too :)

    Rosemary this card is marvelous!! I really love how your flower turned out. You really worked those petals and brought the flower to sivler life. I love it!!

    Of course I'm going to have to blame you for making me order the Rose Spellbinder; up until now I have resisted the urge. ;)
