Hey there!!! Here with a couple of cards I made using the super adorable My Favorite Things Pure Innocence stamps. I first saw a PI stamp a year or so ago when my friend, Cindy, made a card using the PI set "Start The Day With Whee". At that time I thought the stamp was cute, but I wasn't really taken by the stamps. However, all that changed about 6 months ago and now I cannot get enough of these cute little girls (and occasionally boys)! The first card used the PI set "Violin Girl". The layout is from this week's Mojo Monday sketch and the color combo courtesy of this week's ColourQ. To be honest when I finished the card on Wednesday night I wasn't really crazy about it mainly because the look I was going for just really didn't pan out the way I had wanted, but I'm starting to like it more and more. I think it is just because that little girl playing her violin is just sooo darn cute!!!
Anyway, I colored her with Copic markers and then did a bit of paper piecing, as well. All the patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye (Sunshine & Breeze collections), as well as the little flower/brad embellishment.
The second card is for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch challenge that happens over at the My Favorite Things Splitcoaststampers forum. For this card I used a PI set called "You're So Tweet". Now you know where my blog post time came from! Anyway, she was colored with Copics and her dress paper-pieced, too. The papers used on this card are also from My Mind's Eye, the Paris & Co. collection.
Supplies: Cardstock: PTI; Stampin Up!; PP: My Mind's Eye; Copic Markers; Dies: Spellbinders, Taylored Expressions & Memory Box; Stampin Up! punch; Stampin Up! Seam Binding Ribbon; MME embellishments

ReplyDeleteHello Rosie
ReplyDeleteThese last few weeks you have been making some truly gorgeous cards. I am not saying that your CAS cards are not gorgeous, but you are moving in the direction of layering and fussy cutting with added elements, which as you know I just love.
So it will not be a surprise to you when I say that these two cutie cards are just wonderfully pleasing to the eye,(she is adorable) whoever receives them will be delighted.
Smiles:)
