Love You Always....

Hey there!!!  Wow... January is over!!  Can't believe how time goes by so quickly... especially the older I get!!!  Anywhoo... have a card to share that I made for two challenges:  ColourQ and Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge, the first one of the new year... YAY!!

For my card I used the cute little TE a la carte' stamp:  Animals in Love - Whales.  The sentiment is from the TE set Birds of a Feather.    When I started out making the card I was going to use some Stampin Up! designer paper in real red, but when I pulled out the piece I was going to use I just wasn't that thrilled with it.  So I hunted around through my rather large collection of 6x6 pads and found the perfect piece in the My Mind's Eye Rosy 6x6 pad.  I just love all the My Mind's Eye collections!  I die cut the circle using a Spellbinders plain circle die and then stamped the whales on it using Tuxedo Black ink.   The little hearts were colored with Copic markers.  I stamped the whales a second time, colored them with Copic markers, trimmed them out and popped them up on the first image.   Some black/white bakers twine was tied around the circle and then the sentiment stamped using Real Red ink.   A scalloped circle was die cut from Rose Red cardstock and then everything was layered up.   As I was checking the TE store to make sure I had the name correct for the whale stamp I saw a super cute stamp with two Flamingos.  I love flamingos and so I think I'm going to need to get that stamp!!

Supplies:  Cardstock:  PTI kraft, black & white; SU! rose red; PP:  My Mind's Eye Rosy; Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black; Copic markers; Bakers Twine:  The Twintery; Spellbinders dies
