Spread Your Wings...

{For my Shining the Light post, please click here}

Hey!!!  I'm baaacck!!  And this time I have a card for the March Sketch For You To Try challenge.  It has been super fun being a guest designer for SFYTT this month!  If you have never given Jen's sketch challenge a try, you really should.   To find out all the details, please click here to be taken to the original post.  This month, SFYTT is being sponsored by The Craft's Meow!  Check out their blog to see the brand new stamps that have just been released by The Craft's Meow... they are all super yummy!!!

For this card I used the beautiful Craft's Meow set: Fly Free.  I used the beautiful Teresa Collins Carolina Breeze 6x6 pad for all the papers.  I just love the color combo of yellow, grey, black and white.  So very elegant!   I stamped the birdcage using Memento London Fog and then trimmed it out.  Some Diamond Stickles was added to the little butterfly on the cage door.  The sentiment was stamped using Tuxedo Black ink and matted with black cardstock.  I little crystal flourish from Recollections finished off the card.  A very faithful reading of this month's sketch.

Thanks for stopping by... and thanks to Jen for asking me to be a guest designer this month!  I'm looking forward to see what next month's sketch will be!!

Supplies:  Cardstock:  PTI white & black; PP:  Teresa Collins Carolina Breeze; Ink:  Memento; Stamps:  The Craft's Meow; Rhinestone Flourish:  Recollections; Diamond Stickles

  5. I agree...a really pretty colour combo and the black edges just add a fabulous contrast to the patterns and colours too.
    Love that you used a butterfly instead of a bird :0)

  6. Wow--this is wonderful! I don't use a lot of yellow, but I do love it with gray & in fact recently bought a piece of pp in those colors. You've inspired me to use it, Rosemary!

  8. GUEST DESIGNER, extraordinaire!
    I like that statement, and this card with its Yellow pp just brings your Grey palette to life, the sketch is great, I would have changed the circle to a square for the sentiment as well Rosie, as it flows better.
    Smiles:)
