for you....

{For my Shining the Light post click here}

Hey.... I'm back with a card that works for three challenges:  Less is More (use a charm), ColourQ and CAS-ual Fridays (sketch).

I did not make a card for last week's LIM challenge (hangs head in shame).  Unfortunately, the challenge was to doodle on your one layer card and I am not very good at doodling (that's the reason I stamp!).  I struggled to come up with an idea, but unfortunately once I did decided on what I would do, a set of circumstances conspired to leave me mojo-less for the majority of the week!  I'm hoping to redeem myself with this week's card.

I haven't done a CAS-ual Fridays challenge in a long time, but the simplicity of their sketch challenge this week drew me in.   I do admit that this is a very loose interpretation of the sketch.   The arrangement of the charm, sentiment and bird image is meant to approximate the second square in the sketch.   Initially I was going to use some Hero Arts stamps, but instead decided to use a set from Stampin  Up! called Clearly for You.  The ColourQ combo this week is a hard one for me as I don't really care too much for rusty orange (the dusty durango color), but decided that in small doses everything worked.   After the trouble I had with last week's LIM challenge I was thankful that Chrissie & Mandi gave us some thing easy... just add a charm to your card.  The little rose charm is one that my sweet bloggy friend & ODBD teamie, Sabrina sent me.  If it weren't for her sending me a packet of charms, I wouldn't have been able to do this week's LIM challenge because charms are just something I don't generally buy.

Anywhoo... thanks for stopping by!!

Supplies:  Cardstock:  PTI white; Bazzill rust; Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black & London Fog; Charm:  Ebay; Stamps:  Stampin Up!; Twine:   May Arts
