hello friends!! sunday has arrived and i'm finally getting a chance to post a card i made yesterday for a couple of challenges: less is more and dynamic duos. the LIM challenge this week is to take three past LIM challenges and combine them on your card. i went with week #6 - off the edge, week #44 - use green and week #50 birds. these three challenges provided me with the opportunity to use the dynamic duos color combo of always artichoke and certain celery, as well as a new penny black stamp that i purchased recently called "winter ledge".
for the off the edge portion of my card i cut 1/4" off the long side of my card base making it 4" x 5 1/2". i then cut the piece i would be doing my stamping on 3" x 4 1/4" so that it would hang off the edge of the card base. the image was also stamped slightly off edge using certain celery ink. the sentiment, also from penny black, was stamped using always artichoke. I added a thin piece of black card stock to provide a bit of contrast. some custom colored pearls were added. i decided to use a small paint brush and brush on some diamond stickles. the effect is really pretty, but it was hard to see when i took the picture.
thanks for stopping by....

Oooooh, I have a Penny Black stamp that is very similar, and have only used it as a silhouette over a rainbow background. Or sunset/sunrise. I LOVE this idea - so CAS and so elegant at the same time. Great layout and wonderful card. Thanks for playing along at Dynamic Duos.
