Hello.... I'm back with my post for this week's CASology challenge. This week the cue word is sugar and CASology is being sponsored by a fun new stamp company called Neat & Tangled. Lots of cute stamps to be found at their site so make sure you check them out! For all the details, please check here. Our guest designer this week is the very talented Bev!
Danielle, the owner of Neat & Tangled, was so sweet to provide the CASology design team with some of her cute stamps. For my card I'm using a fun little set called "Hey, Cookie". The set contains boy and girl cookie images in two different sizes. I used the two larger images and stamped them on kraft cardstock so they looked like gingerbread. I then paper pieced their bodies using some My Mind's Eye Merry & Bright patterned paper. Once, again, I made a card that is a little bit busier than the usual CAS card. However I'm able to maintain a CAS feel to the card by grouping everything in one spot. A Sizzix die was used to cut the MME patterned paper that the little cookies were mounted on. A bit of MME Merry & Bright washi tape was added underneath and then a little fishtail flag was stamped with the sentiment (from the PTI set Holiday Button Bits), a button added and then adhered to the card.
Thanks for stopping by....make sure you check out the cards from the rest of the design team: Melissa, Tracey, Jen, Ardyth and this week's guest designer, Bev! Can't wait to see what you come up with using this week's cue word!
