hello friends!! hope you are having a nice weekend. i was hoping that the weather would cooperate so i could take my boys to an annual halloween event at our local zoo, but it is looking more and more like the rain will be making a comeback after disappearing this morning. i'm kinda bummed. (eta: we were able to go to the zoo... it was cold and rained a tiny bit, but the kids had fun and that is all that matters!) anyway... have a card that i made for several different challenges: Less is More - autumn; CAS(e) this Sketch - sketch, CASE Study and ColourQ.
the leaves are from a close to my heart set that i purchased several years ago. the small leaf was inked using su!'s pear pizzazz ink, then the edges rolled in su! pumpkin pie, stamped and then trimmed out. the large leaf was inked with memento tangelo, rolled in pear pizzazz, stamped and trimmed out as well. the black card stock was run through my big shot in the su!/sizzix woodgrain embossing flower and then a circle die cut a plain spellbinders circle die. the white cardstock piece was also embossed using the woodgrain ef. the sentiment was stamped using pumpkin pie ink and die cut using my fishtail flag dies. a bit of bakers twine in orange and green were added to the leaves for a little finishing touch. i did beef up the sketch from CAS(e) this Sketch by adding the die cut circle... thus making it fit the current CASE Study challenge. love how the card turned out!
thanks for stopping by....
cardstock: pti white & black; stamps: close to my heart; ink: stampin up! and memento; dies: spellbinders & my favorite things; embossing folder: stampin up!/sizzix.
Love the rock'n'roll on these leaves against that dramatic black! (and the tie in to your blog background, which is stunning!)
ReplyDeleteThe elements you chose work really well in this sketch... I love the leaves.
