turn your face....

hello friends!   got a chance to make a card for the current flourishes challenge.  i love flourishes stamps, but lately it seems i hardly ever get a chance to get something done for their weekly challenges.  but i loved the inspiration photo for this week's challenge and was determined to get something made.  i used the current deconstructed sketch to help me along.

i'm pretty happy with how well this card turned out given the fact that i have been dealing with a migraine all day.  i hate migraines!!!  i don't get really, really bad ones like some people do, but occasionally i will get one that just saps my energy.  i have that kind today.... dinner will be pizza!!  anywhoo... i used one of my favorite flourishes sets, sunflowers, along with my very favorite dies... my favorite things fishtail flag stax.  i use them so much i think i'm going to wear them out!!  papers are from my mind's eye lost & found 2 sunshine 6x6 pad.

well... that's about all from me...  thanks for stopping by...

supplies:  cardstock: pti cream; stampin up! crumb cake; pp:  my mind's eye; stamps:  flourishes; ink:  pti vintage cream & versafine vintage sepia; dies:  my favorite things; twine:  may arts; button:  pti

  1. Hello Rosie
Hope your migraine passes quickly, I do not have them, but I do know they can be debilitating.
The palette is devoid of colour; a muted Grey, carries a certain amount of antiquity, it goes beyond beige, it has a timeless feel, a little shabby but uncomplicated.
    A beautiful card.
    Smiles:)

  4. I simply love the CASness and design of it, Rosemary! And, of course, anything polka dotty makes me swoon!!

Thanks for the tip on the washi tape. I "won" some from a challenge, but I'm not a huge fan either, so I appreciate the tip. The normal "removable" tape I use is not reliably removeable, so I'm switching to the washi tape. Thanks!!

  10. I ADORE this beautiful mono card, Rosemary. Seriously, everything about it, mwah!

Hope your migraine is better. For several years I got them every couple of weeks, bad enough I couldn't read, be on the computer. Not too often now, thank goodness. I admire you for crafting through it, taking care of the boys, gotta be hard at times.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with the family if we don't netchat before then!!
