Hello friends! Tuesday is upon us and that means a brand new CASology challenge!! Have you seen the new look the CASology blog is sporting??? Isn't it fabulous??? Okay... enough gushing about our new look I need to talk about the new cue word which is "wheel". I know there will be a ton of fabulous "wheel" related projects to view in the gallery. All the deets can be found here. Our guest designer this week is the super talented, Mary!!
Objects with wheels are in short supply in my stamp collection other than a few cute bike stamps so I pulled out one of those to use for my card today. The bike stamp is from Hero Arts and the sentiment is from the PTI set Everyday Button Bits. The current challenge over at Catered Crop is called "Mellow Yellow" and so I decided to go with a monochromatic yellow scheme for my card (and I will be popping this card into the Catered Crop challenge). I stamped the bike and then over stamped the sentiment using black ink. A few fishtail flags were die cut from some yellow cardstock and added to the design. The card base was cut to be 4" x 5 1/2" and then the piece that I stamped the bike on is the 4 1/4" x 2 1/2". I like this look for clean and simple card as it adds a bit of interest to a very simple layout.
Thanks for stopping by... I cannot wait to see what "wheel" related ideas all you super talented papercrafters come up with for this challenge!! In the meantime make sure you check out the cards from the rest of the design team: Melissa, Tracey, Jen, Ardyth, Judy, Maureen, and Meghan
and our guest designer, Mary!
