Hey friends!! Tuesday is here and that means a new CASology challenge! With the summer heating up we have decided that things need to be "cool"ed down a bit, hee hee! Yep... our cue word this week is "cool" and I know that there will be some really "cool" projects posted in the CASology gallery! Our guest designer this week is the very talented, Tracy!! All the challenge details can be found here.
When I saw the cue word I just kept thinking about the movie "Despicable Me" and how in the movie the main character Gru uses the term "chillax" and wanted to make a card using it. So I pulled out my MFT High Rise lower case alphabet, my swiss dot embossing folder and got to work. I first embossed the top half of the card with the swiss dot folder to make it sort of look like snow. I then used a ruler and drew a line approximately 1/4" from the bottom of the card stock piece and lined up all the letters. To keep the letters in place I use a piece of washi tape as it is not too sticky and easy to remove. So for everyone out there who has rolls of washi tape and aren't sure what to do with them, you can use them with your dies!! After all the letters were die cut I mounted the piece on a PTI blueberry sky cardstock base and then added some sequins.
Thanks for stopping by... I cannot wait to see what "cool" ideas all you super talented papercrafters come up with for this challenge!! In the meantime make sure you check out the cards from the rest of the design team: Melissa, Judy, Meghan, Ardyth, Gillian, Maureen, Kimberly, Jen and Tracey and our guest designer, Tracy!
