Hello friends! Here with a hopefully quick post sharing a card I made for a couple of challenges: My Favorite Things Sketch challenge and ColourQ.
This week's ColourQ combo was another interesting one that included Summer Starfruit and so I wasn't even sure I was going to make something, but I decided to give it a whirl. Instead of using Summer Starfruit as my card base I decided to inclue it using small doses. The kraft piece was embossed with an SU! embossing folder called Decorative Dots. The banner and stars were die cut using MFT Fishtail Flag Stax and Stacking Stars dies. The sentiment is from the MFT set Big Greetings. I have to say that I wasn't wild about the card after I finished it, but with time it has grown on me.
Thanks for stopping by...
Supplies: Cardstock: PTI black, white & kraft; SU! Summer Starfruit & Coastal Cabana; Stamps: My Favorite Things; Dies: My Favorite Things and Spellbinders; Embossing folder: Stampin Up!

ReplyDeleteGREAT card, love how you have used the colours
ReplyDeleteSome of the color challenges that I see in blogland have color combinations that I do not particularly care for and, therefore, I wouldn't know how to go about using them for a card. You always manage to take any color challenge and make the colors come together in such a pleasing way, Rosemary. I really like this card, especially the stars. Good luck in the challenges.
ReplyDeleteThat color combo is scarey to me but I love the way YOU used the colors Rosi. Those layered stars rock.
