Hello, hello!!   Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!  We have had lots of rain, but that means lots of time to make cards, ha!   The last few days I have been showing you cards made with the new stamps and dies from Clearly Whimsy Stamps (there is still time to comment to win one of three prizes!).  Today I have a card for a couple of challenges (Unscripted Sketches and ColourQ) that uses one of the new CWS stamp sets (Travel 2).  ETA:  popping this into this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: clean and simple.

This card is super clean and super simple, although it did take me awhile to make it, lol!  I started by stamping each of the signs in the road sign image using yellow, green and purple inks.  The entire image was stamped on kraft cardstock, everything was trimmed out and layered up using various heights of foam dimensionals.  I cut a strip of white cardstock and then did some second generation stamping using the same yellow, green and purple inks and the earth image from the set.  I adhered the strip and the sign to a kraft card base and then added the black baker's twine.  I wasn't sure I was going to like the second generation stamping, but I think it turned out pretty well.

    Cute, cute, cute! Reminds me of the directional signs seen in Vancouver and Alaska. (Might have to borrow your idea for a scrapbook page!)

    Another really awesome card, Rosemary! I think your idea to do second generation stamping on the earth image was brilliant...it looks so pretty as a background to the signs and fab with your Kraft card base!

    I love a CAS style and your twist on the sketch captures my heart. I want to runaway on a trip rightway. The color palette pops against the kraft cardbase and the signs are the perfect focal piece. LOVE THIS! Thanks for playing along with us at Unscripted Sketches :)
