Hello... popping in with a stampy little card that I made for several challenges: Color Throwdown, Freshly Made Sketches and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge (Stamp It).
Although I create cards in several different styles at heart I am a simple stamper. Give me some stamps, ink and cardstock and I'm happy to create away. So today I went back to my first love to create my card. When I saw the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches my thoughts went straight to the SU! set Kinda Eclectic. I knew layering several of the images would create the look of the sketch without any bulk. The color combo at Color Throwdown was impossible to resist, either. And since this card is all about stamping it is the perfect fit for the SSS challenge. I started by stamping the yellow dotted image and then overstamped it with the orange sunburst. This creates the look of the strip with the shaped image on top. The leaf image was added in dark pink for additional depth and layering. Sequins in yellow, orange and dark pink finished things off. This is definitely a fun, happy card!
Thanks for stopping by...
Supplies: Cardstock: PTI; Stamps: Stampin Up!; Inks: Stampin Up! (Melon Mambo & Pumpkin Pie) Memento Dandelion; Sequins: Ellen Hutson and Lawn Fawn
This caught my eye in the sketch challenge gallery. So Pretty!

ReplyDeleteHello Rosie,
ReplyDeleteHow dare you state that you are a
'simple stamper!' Just step back a little and look at this card, and admire objectively.
I am here to tell you what I see.
First reaction is the colour, then the impact it has on the onlooker; a Wow, next we see the construction of the layers with the use of stamps and innovation of design. The composition is perfect. Do you really believe that to make this card is simple? Well this is 'simply' not the case, for the 'simple' reason that one has to have incredible talent to make this card. I have used the word as an adjective to relate my point. You may have used it as a noun, but the 'simple' fact remains, this is a stunning design and not everyone could master this technique whereas you excel.
Have a great day.
Smiles:)
Sue
