Hey there! Hope your weekend has started off well. My youngest spent part of the week at camp and thank goodness the rain held off until they were on their way home. He had an awesome time and now is one tired 5th grader! While he was away I did a little bit of crafting, but not as much as I wanted to do... oh well. I did manage to make a card for a few challenges though: Reverse Confetti Stock Your Stash Hello/Just; Freshly Made Sketches and Color Throwdown. There isn't a lot of stamping on this card... it is pretty much all die cuts. I used the RC Tall Stripe Panel as the large central element of the FMS layout and die cut it from black cardstock. The largest tag from the Tag Me set was die cut from white and the little reinforcer was die cut from aqua cardstock. I tied some aqua twine through the whole and then added the tag to the Tall Striped Panel. I then die cut the Wheat from black and aqua cardstock and adhere them together as shown. The wheat was then adhere to the tag. I die cut the banner (from the Tag Me set) from thick vellum cardstock and embossed the sentiment from the Tall Bloom stamp set in white. That was adhered over the wheat and the entire piece adhere to a white cardstock base.
Hope you have a wonderful day!
Supplies: Cardstock: Stampin Up! white and aqua, PTI black, MFT heavy weight vellum; Stamps and dies: Reverse Confetti; Ink: VersaMark watermark ink; Embossing powder: Hero Arts; Baker's twine

Terrific take on the sketch Rosemary! The black behind the leaves is cool!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful, modern looking card, Rosemary! The wheat is wonderful in that color combo! So glad your kiddo had fun at camp & hurrah for no rain! It's actually pretty nice here at the moment, but Fritz & I had to wear our raincoats yesterday afternoon.
ReplyDeleteThere's never enough time to craft! Glad you were able to make this beauty. Wonderful design using that sketch and those colors together!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great card! I totally love the tag! The black and white are so elegant! Love the pop of colour! Thanks for joining us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!
ReplyDeleteAs always, your card is fabulous. All the layers blend so nicely from the very structured tall striped panel, to the free form wheat. I also like how you added the tag, but put the sentiment on the vellum.
