Simon Says Stamp Handmade Holiday Release

Hello!  Are you ready for a new release at Simon Says Stamp?  Well... even if you aren't the new Handmade Holiday release is live on their website right now, lol!  I have a slimline card to share that I made with a new slimline stencil from the release called Slimline Rainbow.  (Compensated affiliate links used where possible. When I got the stencil in the mail from Simon Says Stamp the first thing that came to mind was to create a card with the look of a candy cane.  When I was a kid at Christmas time stores would carry the traditional candy canes, but they would also carry these extra large candy canes that were over an inch thick!  That was the look I was going for.  I wanted the white stripes to be thicker than the red stripes so I masked off every other opening.   For the inking I used Festive Berries distress ink.   The sentiments are from one of my most favorite Simon Says Stamp Christmas set Stained Glass Greetings.  I stamped everything with watermark ink and then heat embossed in red.  I die cut the Joy with the matching die and the smaller sentiments with a little banner die from a Spellbinders Glimmer set I have.  The foliage was created using the Simon Says Stamp Christmas Foliage die set and cut from various glitter cardstocks.  I just love that little set.  I used a Simon Says Stamp premade slimline card base and then die cut down my stenciled background with a Spellbinders slimline rectangle die from the Circle Kaleidoscope die set.

Check out the full Handmade Holiday release right here!  Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day!
