happy anniversary...

Hello!  I popping in with another card made with new product from the April Spellbinders release.  This time I'm using a new die set from Becca Feeken called Layered Daisies etched dies from the Layered Fleurs Bouquet Slimlines collection.  I used the color palette from Sunday Stamps and the sketch from the Paper Players for my card so I will be posting it there.  Compensated affiliate links will be listed at the bottom of this post.  Using my links allows me to earn a small commission at no cost to you.  Thank you for using my links.  Here is my card:

I have been going to the same person to have my hair cut and colored for 22 years and at the beginning of June she and her husband will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.  I will be giving Dee Dee this card.  I hope she likes it!  I die cut the flowers from white cardstock and then applied distress inks in Spun Sugar, Squeezed Lemonade and Shabby Shutters to the flowers and leaves with small blending brushes.   Once I had them all layered up I had to determined the lay out per the Paper Players sketch.  After I figured that out I die cut some white cardstock with a Fluted Classic rectangle die.  I blended on some Shaded Lilac and then added my flowers and leaves.  The sentiment is from a Glimmer sentiment set called Sentiments for Everyday set, was foiled using black foil and then die cut with the matching die.  I added the sentiment and then added the panel to a cardstock base.  I'm also going to add this to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of anything goes.

  9. What a wonderfully sweet card for your hairstylist! What a feat - 50 years! And your stylist for 22! Yikes, every time I find one I like, they "move on" within 5 years (hopefully it isn't me)! Sweet flowers, and I love the unique direction for the sentiment
