Your Heart...

Yesterday I made a card for the 90 minute scramble over at the Hero Arts Flickr group and for the current Less is More challenge:  Spring.   I used the emboss/resist technique for the card and because I was making it for the Less is More challenge I kept things really simple, only adding some ribbon.  I loved how it turned out (and so did alot of other people, too!), but I wanted to see how it would turn out if I added just a wee bit more to the card.    Well... let's just say that I'm quite pleased with how it turned out, quite pleased indeed!

I used the new CR84FN color story of light pink, medium violet & grey.  The image was again stamped on the cardstock using VersaMark, clear embossing powder applied and heat set.  I then inked up the image with Ranger's Milled Lavender distress ink.  It was pretty, but the purple was just too light.  So, I got out the Dusty Concorde distress ink and applied some to the edges and some of the flowers in the interior of the image and that did the trick!   I used that cute little PTI Signature Series Dress Form stamp set & matching die, as well.   Some PTI Sweet Blush ribbon (tied in a perfect bow... sigh!), one of those lovely flowers from Irene's Garden, some gems & pearls and I was done.

Thanks for taking a peek...

Supplies:  Cardstock:  PTI white; Stamps:  Hero Arts Large Blossom, PTI Signature Series Dress Form; Ink:  Ancient Page Stone Grey, Ranger Milled Lavender & Dusty Concorde distress inks; Hero Arts pearls; KaiserCraft rhinestones; PTI Sweet Blush grosgrain ribbon; PTI Dress Form die
