CR84FN + a Birthday Sundae

Hello everybody!!  A card today for two challenges, CR84FN and Birthday Sundaes.   Last week was the first week for the Birthday Sundaes challenge and I played along.  To my delight the sweet gals of the design team picked my card as one of their "Super Sundaes"!   Thanks ladies!!

Okay... on to my card.  I used the gorgeous color combo provided by the super talented Mona, creator of CR84FN, of garnet, chartruse and cream.   Isn't the inspiration photo just yummy???   But it was also a bit difficult for me and I spent the last few days trying to figure out what direction I would take with this combo.  Several stamps came to mind, but in the end I chose a stamp from Hero Arts called Long Stem Flowers.  I colored the image with Copic markers, R59, R89, YG03 & YG93.  I did run into another bit of trouble trying to figure out a layout for the card since the image is well... long!  But I think I found something that worked in the end.  I know it is hard to tell from the photo, but the cardstock really is cream colored!  The theme this week at Birthday Sundaes is spring.  My card is on the dramatic side, but I think it says spring...

Thanks for taking a peek... I hope you will take the time to check out both CR84FN and Birthday Sundaes!

Supplies:  Cardstock: PTI Vintage Cream & True Black; PP:  PTI Bitty Dot Basics Simply Chartruse & Scarlet Jewel; Stamps:  Hero Arts; Punch:  Martha Stewart butterfly; Ribbon:  PTI Scarlet Jewel grosgrain
