More Heartfelt Creations projects today... this time I'm sharing some cards I made using the newly released (as of today) sets Dutch Iris Medley, Flora Grande 1, Flora Grande 2 and Sympathy Sentiments. Other sets in this new release include Dutch Iris Frame, Dutch Iris Oval, and Distressed Leaves. Heartfelt Creations is also releasing a coordinating die set called: Decorative Dutch Iris dies. This die set is yet another amazing collaboration between Heartfelt Creations and Spellbinders! And it gets even better because the new Flora Grande 1, Flora Grande 2 and Distressed Leaves set coordinate with the soon to be release Spellbinders Blossom 3 dies and Nested Leaves dies!! How cool is that????
The first card I made using the Spellbinders Grand Labels 4 dies along with the Decorative Dutch Iris dies and the Dutch Iris Medley set. Making the card was pretty easy. I simply made a standard A2 size card with the fold along the long side of the card, placed the card on my cutting platform, positioned the 2nd largest Grand Labels 4 die on top, taped it in place and ran it through my die cutting machine. The white mat was cut using the same method only using the appropriate sized piece of cardstock and the 3rd largest Grand Labels 4 die. I stamped the sentiment on the white piece and then the iris image. The iris image was stamped again, colored with Copics and die cut using the iris die. Then it was adhered to the white piece. The entire piece was adhered to the card base and a Zva Creative flourish was added. I did cut up the flourish to achieve the look I wanted.
The second card is much simpler. The largest Flora Grande image was stamped on PTI's Hawaiian Shore Bitty Dot Basics patterned paper using Palette Cote' Azure ink and trimmed out. A second much smaller image was also stamped on the same patterned paper, trimmed out and layer on top of the larger flower using foam dimensionals. The sympathy sentiment was stamped on the bottom left corner and then the flower adhered to the card as you see. Some coordinating rhinestones were added to the center of the flower.
Thanks for taking a peek... head over to the Heartfelt Creations blog to see other projects from the design team. And if you leave a comment the Heartfelt Creations blog by March 15th you will be entered in for a chance to win the entire release!!!
