CCC #3..... I'm Berry Sorry

{for my Shining the Light post, scroll down or click here}

Hello.... I'm back with my post for this week's CASology challenge.  Once, again, the design team was blown away by the response to last week's challenge!   You have no idea how excited we all are that everyone is enjoying this new challenge!!

The cue word this week is "fruit". You can find out all the details of the challenge here.  This one was a bit of a tough one for me because I don't own many fruit stamps.  But I do have the PTI Fruit Fusion Berry stamp set and matching die.   I used that set along with one of dies from the PTI Half & Half  for my little banner.

As I was putting my card together I had originally thought I would use a red card base, but as things started coming togther I realized that it wasn't the right way to go.  So, I opted instead for a kraft card base and I'm glad that I did.  I love the way the white banner just pops against the kraft card.  Once, again, I left alot of open or "white" space, one of the hallmarks of a CAS card.  And remember, "white space" doesn't necessarily have to be white.   If leaving alot of white space scares you at first its okay to add a little something like a few scorelines (as I did) or a few well placed pearls or rhinestones.   To help you out with putting together a CAS style card, Melissa put together a little checklist.

Thanks for stopping by.... make sure you check out the card from the rest of the design team:
Melissa, Tracey, Jen, Ardyth and this week's guest designer, Jenny!  I look forward to what you create using this week's cue word!!

Supplies:  Cardstock:  PTI white & kraft; Stamps:  PTI Fruit Fusion Berry; Dies:  PTI Berry die & Half & Half dies; Twine:  The Twinery; Ink:  SU! Cherry Cobbler & Wild Wasabi
