Hello friends!! Hope your weekend is going well. Feels like I haven't posted in ages even though it has only been a few days! Anywhoo... got my card for this week's Less is More challenge finished this morning. The challenge this week is a color challenge and Chrissie and Mandi have requested that we use gold. So... gold isn't a color I use that often. I don't really like gold embossing powder and I have no gold cardstock. It is just one of those things... I love the look when others use gold on their projects, but when I try it I'm always a bit disappointed with the results. However, that changed when I picked up a pad of Tsukineko's Delicata GoldenGlitz ink. It is the first gold ink that I truly like. The color is so rich and well... golden!
I'm also linking this up to Chupa's current Sketchbook Saturday sketch as it was perfect for the LIM challenge. I stamped the Classic Tea Flower stamp using GoldenGlitz ink on Rustic Cream cardstock and then trimmed it out. The two little butterflies are from the Hero Arts/Sizzix set Antique Flowers & Butterflies and they were also stamped using GoldenGlitz and then die cut using the matching die. The text strip is from the PTI set Background Basics Text Style and it was stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. After adhering the images to the cardstock piece I inked the edges with additional GoldenGlitz ink and then adhered the piece to the card base. As I also added the bit of text I will link this up to CAS-ual Fridays.
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget the first challenge for CASology will be this Tuesday, July 10th. I hope you will join us!

ReplyDeleteHello Rosie,
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great design; using your text as a band behind your images looks impressive and in an odd way illuminates them.
