ODBDSLC115...Doing Some Distressing

Hello, friends!!  Its Tuesday and that means time for a brand new Shining the Light challenge!!   Are you liking the new day and time for the challenge?  I know I am although it was a bit strange this past Saturday when I didn't have to post.  Anywhoo... the challenge this week is to use tearing or distressing on your project.

For my card I decided to do distressing and tearing of my patterned paper, as well as the cardstock.  I used the ODBD set Sweet Friendship.  The papers are from a fun Stampin Up! paper pack called Attic Boutique.  All the papers have a vintage look for them which make them perfect for distressing.  The doily was die cut using a Stampin Up!/Sizzix doily die.  The ovals were die cut using Spellbinders plain and scalloped edge dies.  The flowers are various Prima flowers.   All the edges of the paper were distressed using my handy distressing tool form Close to My Heart.  I liked the tool so much I have two of them.  I also included some carefully placed tears and curled edges to finish off the card.

As always, we will be giving out a prize, a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Sunday, July 15th at 8 p.m. EST. One random winner will be chosen and announced on Tuesday. 

While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them. As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing three or more of our participants  for the  Shining the Light Award . In order to qualify for this award or join the challenge, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by Sunday, July 15th at 8 pm.
