beautiful.... inside and out

Hello friends!!  Well I made it through the first day of school with my little guy!  He has only half days this week and because of that I thought I didn't have to pack him a lunch... unfortunately I did!  So after I got him all settled at school off I went to cobble together a lunch for him and get it down to the school in time!  I did not take any pictures of him (I know... bad mommy!), but maybe I will tomorrow.   At one point I did wish I had a camera, though.  His teacher told the kids to get a buddy and hold hands.  To my delight I saw him holding hands with sweet little Ella... one of his friends from preschool! It was too cute!! Ella's mom did get a picture of them!!  Anyway... enough of that!  I do have a card to share.

Once, again, I combined this week's Dynamic Duo color challenge with Chupa's Sketchbook Saturday sketch.  I really kept this one clean and simple... I'm in that kinda mood right now.  (You wouldn't know it from my Shining the Light card, though...ha!)   I used a lovely set of stamps from The Craft's Meow, Celebrating You.  I stamped the fuschia once using Hero Arts Punch chalk ink and trimmed out the flower portion.  The fuschia was stamped a second time using SU!'s Pear Pizzazz (I don't have Lucky Limeade) and the leaves trimmed out.  The flower was then assembled on the white strip and the sentiment stamped using Pear Pizzazz.  The red cardstock was embossed using a new SU! embossing folder Fancy Fans.  The pattern is sort of designed to look better on the horizontal rather than the vertical and I thought that it would bother me having it vertical, but I actually like it that way, too!

Supplies:  Cardstock:  PTI white; SU! Poppy Parade; Stamps:  The Craft's Meow; Inks:  Stampin Up! & Hero Arts; Embossing Folder:  Stamping Up!
