CCC#9 - Welcome, Baby

Hello... I'm back with my post for this week's CASology challenge.  The cue word this week is "family".   All the information regarding the challenge can be found right here.  Once, again, we had some fabulous entries for last week's challenge!  I just love looking at all the entries and seeing each person's take on the cue word. 

When I saw the cue word what immediately came to my was a couple bringing home new baby and so I decided to make a baby card using the current ISpy sketch.  I wanted the card to be a gender neutral card and since I had used green the last two weeks in a row I went with yellow.  I used some cardstock from Close to My Heart and stamps from Stampin Up! (the onesie) and PTI (sentiment).   I don't have alot of CTMH products, but I do like their cardstock because it has a white core (perfect for sanding) and it is essentially double sided.   The reverse side of the cardstock is a softer color version of the main color which makes it perfect for what I wanted to do.  The large color block piece is the reverse of the yellow that was used for the onesie.   I ran the light yellow piece through my Big Shot in the Swiss Dot embossing folder to soften up the design a bit so that the cardstock piece didn't look quite so stark.  The onesie was stamped using black ink, trimmed out and mounted on the white die cut.  The sentiemnt was also stamped using black ink.
