bee.... thankful

Hello friends!!   Have a little card to share that I made using the current ColourQ combo of black, grey, gold and white.  I had recently purchased some Hero Arts ink cubes that included gold and silver inks so the ColourQ challenge was the perfect opportunity to try out the gold ink.   The stamps are a combination of SU! (Gorgeous Grunge and Backyard Basics) and Taylored Expressions (Autumn Wreath) stamps.

I started by trimming my main panel to the size I wanted it and then stamped it with one of the splatter images from the SU! set Gorgeous Grunge using the Hero Arts gold ink.  I like this image alot because it allows me to create a splatter look with out all the mess and honestly... I don't like alot of mess, lol!!    I stamped the bee using the same gold ink and then die cut it using the matching die.  Black cardstock was die cut using a Chalk Talk die and the bee mounted to that.  The sentiment (from the TE Autumn Wreath set) was stamped in black ink and some grey washi tape and a sequin were added.  The entire piece was mounted on a grey card base.

Thanks for stopping by...

Supplies:  Cardstock:  PTI white & black; SU! Basic Grey; Stamps:  Stampin Up! and Taylored Expressions; Inks:  Memento Tuxedo Black & Hero Arts gold; Dies:  Stampin Up!

Just read you're on the move from the CASology team ... sorry to see you move on as I'll miss your wonderfully creative takes on the Cue Card each week. However, I look forward to seeing you with one of your many other hats on in blogland! Anita :)
