Spellbinders May 2021 Club Blog Hop!

Hello everyone!  Today I am participating a blog hop showcasing that May 2021 club kits from Spellbinders!  You should have arrived here from Jean Manis' blog.   If you didn't get here from Jean's blog you can head to the Spellbinders blog to see the full list of participant or check out the link list at the end of my blog post.

Since this is a blog hop there are prizes to be won!  There will be three winners of a $50 Spellbinders gift certificate chosen from all the comments left on the Spellbinders blog.  Commenting closes on May 23rd at 11:59 MST and the winners will be announced on the blog hop post on Tuesday, May 25th.  Please not the gift certificates cannot be used to purchase club subscriptions and the winner is responsible for all applicable sales tax and shipping charges.

Now for my project!

My card features the sweet Clear Stamp of the Month, along with a beautiful Spellbinders stamp set called Beauty in Bloom.  I stamped images from Beauty in Bloom on watercolor cardstock with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink and then watercolored them very simply.  The panel was then die cut with a Spellbinders Essentials Rectangle die.   I die cut off white cardstock with the largest Essentials Rectangle die, placed it in my stamping tool so I could line up the sweet floral border images from the Clear Stamp of the Month.  I stamped the borders on two sides, flipped the panel and then stamped the other two sides.  I colored the borders with the same watercolors I used for the larger flowers.  The panel was adhered to a card base I made using Spellbinders Silver Fox cardstock.  I popped up the second panel in the center of the first.   The sentiment was stamped on the same cardstock used for the bottom panel and die cut with a classic Spellbinders nestabilities square die.  I popped that up as well and then added the light pink sequins to finish things off.   Your next stop on the hop is the super talented Norine Borys!

  3. I love your choices here. It is subtle but the barely grey, white and cream colored background really focus the eye on the centerpiece. The effect softens the whole look. Really lovely.
