hello...

Hi friends... I'm back with a little card to share that I made using some absolutely yummy new Prima products.  The CardMaker blog design team is having a little product spotlight feature with the Prima design team today.  Click over to the CardMaker blog to check out what my team mates made.

I was fortunate to receive products from the new Prima line "Anna Marie".  Like all Prima products the papers and embellishments are just gorgeous!!   The design of my card is based on the current Sketchbook Saturday sketch.  One of the goodies I received were these gorgeous resin butterflies and I just had to use one on my project.  Obviously I followed the sketch to a "T", lol!!!  With that butterfly the focus of my card I kept everything else fairly simple.  A fun little pleated treatment was created for the bottom of my card.   I finished off the card by adding a few brads and Sugar Dots from the "Anna Marie" line, as well.

Thanks for stopping by...

Love is a fruit...

Hello, friends!!  Today I have a card that is not clean and simple, but more on the shabby chic side of things.  I love moving between those two styles of cardmaking (and you may just see me combine the two!).  CAS is my preferred style, but I do creating cards with multiple layers, lace, and embellishments.    My card is for the current Timeless Tuesday challenge to put the focus on your sentiment.   The layout is from the current Deconstructed Sketch.

I used the Flourishes set "Mother's Words of Wisdom" and some sweet papers from Websters Pages (Western Romance).   Not much to say... all the cardstock and papers were distressed with my distressing tool.  The sentiment was stamped on patterned paper using Vintage Sepia ink and then punch out with an SU! tag punch.  I created the mat by adhering the tag to some kraft cardstock and then trimming it out.   The lace and twine are from May Arts and the flowers are from Prima.

Thanks for stopping by... hope to be back later with my Less is More card.

ODBDSLC66 - Anything Goes!

(For my JUGs project click here)

Hey everyone!!  Here with my last post as a guest designer for ODBD's Shining the Light challenge (boo hooo!).  This week the challenge is anything goes just use your ODBD stamps and because ODBD will be revealing new stamps on the 1st of July this challenge will last two weeks so you have plenty of time to get your card done.

For my card I decided to use the ODBD Brocade background stamp and a sentiment/verse stamp from the ODBD set, Porch.  My color scheme is pretty girly so I added a lovely crystal and pearl flourish from Prima (which I actually cut up so I could place the different swirls where I wanted them... love being able to do that!) and some super sweet pink Prima Fairytale roses.

While ODBD stamps are not required in order to play along with the challenge, we sure love seeing them on your cards.  So use them if you have them!   All players using ODBD stamps will have the opportunity to be chosen for the Shining the Light award.   Finally, to make the challenge even more fun one randomly drawn player will receive a $15.00 gift certificate to use toward anything in the ODBD store!   Please make sure to check the projects from the design team of Chris, Pat, Fran and Sabrina.

Thanks for taking a peek!

ODBDSLC62 - A Sketch

Hello everyone!  I hope that Blogger hasn't been giving you too many problems this past week!

This week the challenge over at the ODBD blog is a sketch provided by the lovely and so very talented Sabrina!
For my card I used the ODBD Scripture Collection 7 set.  I just love this verse from Hebrews 11.   I got out my Websters Pages Hollywood Vogue 6x6 papers and picked out a couple to work with.  I also used one of my most favorite Spellbinders die set, Labels 4.  I diecut three different sizes of the Labels 4 dies and layered them as you see.   I finally broke down and purchased some of those darling Prima Fairytale roses I have seen lots of people using and now I'm hooked.  They are just soo darn sweet and add so much to a card.   The card is a 5x5 square card.

To play along with the challenge you don't need ODBD stamps, but if you wish to be in the running for the Shining the Light award your project must use ODBD stamps.  To make the challenge even more fun, a $15.00 gift certificate will be given to one randomly drawn winner!

Thanks for taking a peek....
