Hello! Popping in with a quick share of a card that I made for a couple of challenges: Freshly Made Sketches and Card Concept. I haven't participated in either of these challenges in a while. Just haven't had the motivation to make cards (except for obligations) lately. Trying to change that state of mind, lol! Let's look at what I made.

Christmas cards...
Hope everyone here in the US had a really nice Thanksgiving. Our Thanksgiving was quiet. Just me, hubby and our boys. We didn't even had turkey. We had a nice roasted chicken! Anyway, with Thanksgiving over it is on to Christmas! And I have two very clean and simple Christmas cards to share.
The first card is for the Paper Players, Color Throwdown and Freshly Made Sketches. The colors at CTD are copper, kraft, sage and black. I just used a little of the copper and black and alot of the kraft and sage. I know my copper doesn't look copper, but it is. The sentiment was hot foiled with Spellbinders copper hot foil. I took a close up that shows a bit better that the foiling is copper. For the bird I blended Bundled Sage distress ink onto white cardstock and then die cut the bird using the Memory Box Serene Bird & Branch die set. The branch was die cut from black and copper glitter cardstock then layered slightly offset. I embossed a piece of PTI rustic white cardstock with the Spellbinders Holly Swirls embossing folder and adhered it to a kraft base. I assembled the bird using thin foam squares to adhere the wing for a little dimension. I die cut the beak from black cardstock, adhered it and then added the eye using black Nuvo drops. I layered up all the elements on the card front and I was done.

Simon Says Stamp Yay You Release!
Hello and happy Wednesday everyone! The new Simon Says Stamp Yay You release is now live and it is fabulous! Simon Says Stamp was so kind and sent me a beautiful new foil and cut set called Sketched Anemone. I used sentiments from the Simon Says Stamp Brushed Flowers and Sunflower Garden stamp sets. Affiliate links are listed at the bottom of this blog post. Using my links allows me to earn a small commission at no cost to you. Thank you for your support. I have three cards to share today. Let's take a look:
For this card I foiled the flower using bright pink foil and the leaves using green foil. The flower and leaves are on one plate so it was a little bit of a trick to get the foiling done well, but I managed. Once the foiling was done I die cut the image with the matching die and then colored everything with Copic markers. I decided to use a "go to" layout and then filled in the space with the branches die cut from vellum. I used the SSS Etched Berry Branch die and the leafy die from the Flower Bundle die set. I arranged everything and then stamped the sentiment from the Brushed Flowers in VersaFine CLAIR Nocturne ink. I adhered everything on my die cut white rectangle panel and then finished with pink rhinestones from Pretty Pink Posh. This card fits the Card Concept challenge so I will be adding it to their gallery. I would say that it falls in the clean and layered category.

you are so sweet...
Hello everyone! Hope your week is going well. I'm popping in with a card that I made for a few challenges: the Paper Players (use plaid or checks), the Card Concept (inspiration and my card is clean and simple) and CAS(E) this Sketch (layout). When I saw the Card Concept inspiration photo it made me think of the stamp and die set that was part of the July 2017 My Monthly Hero kit. The set includes images of bunches of lavender and sweet peas as well as images of different containers. I will admit that I have only used this lovely set once (hangs head in shame) and that was along time ago! I used the sweet peas image and the image of a watering can for my card. I stamped both images using VersaFine CLAIR Morning Mist and then colored the images with Faber Castell Polychromos color pencils. Once done I die cut with the matching dies. I die cut some pink check patterned paper with the largest stitched dot rectangle die and then die cut some woodgrain cardstock with the same die. The woodgrain piece was cut on an angle and adhered it to the patterned paper panel. I adhered the two images together and then placed it on the panel so that I could determine where to place the sentiment. I removed the die cuts and then stamped the sentiment using Morning Mist ink. The image was then popped up on the panel with foam dimensionals and the panel was adhered to a light gray cardstock base. Thanks for stopping by... hope you have a wonderful day!

Since we are still somewhat snowed in I was able to sit down for a while and create a couple of cards. One I will be sharing on Wednesday and one that I'm sharing right now. This card is for the Paper Players (colors), Sunday Stamps (sketch), the Card Concept (clean and layered) and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge (interactive element). All the dies I used, as well as the stamp set are from A Jillian Vance Design. I used the two largest hearts from the Stitched Dot Heart die set to create my shaker element that I filled with dark gray, white and fuchsia flat sequins that are also from A Jillian Vance Design. The dark pink and light gray cardstocks are Stampin Up! Melon Mambo and Smoky Slate. The darker gray is PTI's Weathervane and the white is also from PTI. I one of the dies from the AJVD Sentiment Stripes die set to create the piece running across the white cardstock panel. After die cutting the strip I adhered it to my white cardstock and then die cut the whole thing with the largest AJVD Stitched Dot rectangle. The smaller strip was actually cut from the tag that is part of the Minnie Pearl Tag set from AJVD that I trimmed down to fit the sketch. I adhered that strip and then stamped the sentiment from the AJVD Valentine's Day stamp set in VersaFine CLAIR Nocturne ink. I adhered the shaker heart and then added two smaller hearts die cut from the Smoky Slate and Melon Mambo cardstock, as well as some dark pink baker's twine tied in a bow. let your dreams...
Hey there! Hope all is well in your world. I'm popping in with a card for two challenges: The Card Concept and Fusion. Both challenges happen to have a similar feel to them... non-traditional Halloween/Fall and so I thought I would combine them on my card. I did not use pumpkins (which are featured in both inspiration photos), but feathers. As a nod toward the Card Concept photo I stamped my feathers (from the February My Monthly Hero kit) in two shades of pink and then inked up portions of each feather with VersaMark watermark ink, applied gold embossing powder and then heat set. A piece of white cardstock was die cut and then splattered with a light blue/green acrylic paint that I thinned down with water. When the panel was dry I arranged my feathers per the sketch from the Fusion challenge. The sentiment was stamped in VersaFine CLAIR Morning Mist ink. To bring in the crystals found on one of the pumpkins in the Card Concept photo and the color blue from the Fusion photo I added Pretty Pink Posh light blue crystals randomly around the feathers. I'm going to admit that I often struggle with the categories at the Card Concept, but I think this one would fit into the Clean and Layered category.Hope you have a wonderful day!

i love your kind heart...
Hey there!! I have a card to share for a couple of challenges: the Card Concept (floral centerpiece) and Inspired By (floral cluster). I had made a couple of purchases from the Simon Says Stamp Fluttering By release and one of the things I bought was the beautiful Center Cut Flowers stamp. I finally inked it up the other card to create my card. I didn't make the card with either of the challenges I'm entering in mind it was just pure coincidence that my card worked for both challenges. Kinda like it when that happens... don't you? I stamped the image on PTI vellum (love how thick it is!) with VersaMark watermark ink and heat embossed in white. I colored the backside of the image using Ranger Distress markers in Abandoned Coral, Spun Sugar, Wild Honey, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, Peacock Feathers, Crushed Olive and Peeled Paint. I adhered the image to some Tim Holtz woodgrain cardstock and then added the sentiment from the SSS Take Heart stamp set that I embossed in white on black cardstock along with the die cut word. Finished with some Pretty Pink Posh sparkling clear sequins. I think this would work for the clean and layered category at the Card Concept. I'm also adding this to the current Time Out challenge to be inspired by a quote. After reviewing the challenge I realized that my card would work perfectly since I have used blooms and I think the sentiment fits very nicely into the theme of the quote.Supplies: Cardstock: PTI black, vellum, SSS gray, Tim Holtz woodgrain; Stamps: Simon Says Stamp; Dies: Simon Says Stamp and A Jillian Vance Design; Inks: VersaMark; Coloring medium: Ranger Distress markers; Pretty Pink Posh sparkling clear sequins

i'll never leaf you...
Hello!! Wow... we had a wet and wild weekend!! But thankfully it cleared up enough for the boys and me to get a few more pumpkins for our front porch and to have a little trip out to one of our favorite spots. It was fun to head out of town in up more toward the mountains and to see all the trees in their full autumn glory! It made me think of the current inspiration photo from the Card Concept. When I saw the gorgeous fall wedding cake in the photo I just knew I had to play along! My card would fit in the Classy and Elegant or Clean and Simple categories. I was inspired by all the leaves on the beautiful white cake. I used the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, as well. I inked up a piece of white cardstock with Wild Honey and Spiced Marmalade distress oxide inks. I then die cut two leaves from the AJVD Grand Leaf Trio set set and a small leaf from the AJVD Leaves & Petals die set from the piece. The leaves were then inked with Fired Brick, Vintage Photo and a bit more Wild Honey distress oxide inks. I absolutely love those inks for blending!! A piece of white cardstock was trimmed down to fit the card front, then die cut in half using an AJVD Elegant Stitched Border die. I then cut the pieces down further with the largest AJVD Stitched Dot Rectangle die so that all the edges matched. The sentiment is from the AJVD stamp set Be-Leaf in Yourself. I arranged the leaves on the two pieces so I could get a good placement for the sentiment and then stamped it with my MISTI. The leaves were added along with some red, yellow and orange dew drops. I will also add this to the current Dies R Us challenge to use leaves on your project. Can I just say that I am beyond pleased with how this card turned out??? I just love it!! I'm going to add this to Lea Lawson's Crafty Come Back Party Day 8 link up.Hope you have a wonderful day!

wherever you are...
Hello friends!! Stopping in with a card I made yesterday. I will be posting this one to the February Reverse Confetti Sketch for You to Try, Color Throwdown and this month's inspired by words challenge at Time Out. The card also fits the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge so I will post it there, as well. It also works for the current Card Concept challenge... I used the hearts... so I will add it there under Clean and Layered classification. The card uses mainly Reverse Confetti products. I used a My Favorite Things Fishtail Flag Stax to cut the banner and an A Jillian Vance Design Polka Dot Rectangle Backdrop to cut the large panel. When I started out making the card I die cut the hearts (from the RC Confetti Cuts set Love Notes) from pink and red cardstock. As I was putting the card together I thought it looked rather plain so I found a small piece of red glitter cardstock and some pink glitter cardstock and die cut the hearts from that. The little bit of sparkle provided just what I was looking for to jazz up the design. Splitting up the sentiment (from the RC set My World) the way I did proved to be a little bit of a challenge, but in the end I was able to make it work. The blue panel was cut with the large scalloped panel die from the Love Note set and the white panel was die cut using the Class Act Confetti Cut die. The sentiment was stamped on cardstock cut with the banner from the Tag Me Confetti Cut set. I finished off the inside of the card using the remainder of the sentiment stamped on a white panel that was adhered to another light blue scalloped panel. Two more glitter hearts finished everything off.Supplies: Cardstock: white, SU! oh holy night...

I used the beautiful Verve set Peace on Earth, as well as the Verve Starry die. The patterned papers are from the Teresa Collins 6x6 pad "Hello My Name Is". I love red, white and kraft for a Christmas card. The circles were die cut using Spellbinders plain circle dies and the banner with a MFT fishtail flag stax die. The ink is SU!'s Cherry Cobbler. I added a bit of Crystal Stickles to the centers of the stars for some added sparkle. Thanks for stopping by...
