In With the New.. Out With the Old...

Today's the day... the sun is shining, the tank is clean! (oh wait.. that is a line from Finding Nemo!)  But today is the day that I share my other good news... I'm now a design team member for Our Daily Bread Designs!!!  The Shining the Light challenge team to be exact and I can't tell you how excited I am to be a part of this amazing company!!   So now... on to this week's challenge:  "In with the new....out with the Old".   The team challenges you to create a card using something new and something old on your card.

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize, a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Friday, January 13th at 8 a.m. EST. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday. If you are not using ODBD stamps, please do not enter more than once. Additional entries that are made without using ODBD stamps will not be commented on nor will they qualify for prizes.  While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them. As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Light Award.   In order to qualify for this award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by Friday, January 13th at 8 a.m. EST. If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword is ODBDSLC91. When creating your posts on blogs please include a link to the challenge

For my card I my something new on my card are the following brand new ODBD stamps:  Never Give Up and Grunge Cross, as well as the accompanying new Grunge Cross die.  My something old is a glitter brad and a corner punch that I used to make the photo corner pieces.  I love, love, love these new Grunge sets from ODBD!

Now off you go to check out the projects from my fellow "breadsticks":  Lori, Jan Marie, Jan, Debi, ChrisKathy, Sabrina and Wanda (Guest Designer)!    To join in the fun, please click here.

Supplies:   Cardstock:  PTI white & black; Stamps:  ODBD; Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black; Brad:  SU! Glitter Brad; Punch:  SU! Photo corner punch; Diamond Stickles Glitter Glue.

Hello Rosie
Well congratulations on becoming a Team Member at ODBD, they will be delighted with what you create for them, no question about that.
A beautiful monochromatic card.
The cross image connects well with your corners and gives a wonderful balance to your card, I am wondering whether you would have left them off if you did not have to include something old!
I know how you love to wallow in your white space! Ha.
Smiles:)
