Hey there!!! Here will a card for the Flourishes release week challenge (Motherly Love Challenge). This time the challenge is to make a card for a mom. With Mother's Day coming soon it was the perfect chance for me to make a card for my mom. There isn't a ton of stamping on this card... just the tag and the sentiment. The card design is based on the current Sketchbook Saturday sketch.
I used some lovely muted papers from The Scrap Cake 6x6 pad One Moment in Time. The papers matched fairly well with the beautiful Prima roses that I used. I used stamps from the following Flourishes sets: Country Charm Labels & Mother's Words of Wisdom. The label was stamped using Ranger's Victorian Velvet distress ink, trimmed out and the edges distressed with Old Paper. The center panel was embossed using a Cuttlebug embossing folder (Victoria). This is the first time I have used so many paper roses on a card and boy was it a challenge to get them all placed correctly! I'm also going to pop this into the current Frilly & Funkie challenge to make your sentiment the focus.
Supplies: Cardstock: PTI Cream; PP: The Scrap Cake One Moment in Time; Stamps: Flourishes; Cuttlebug EF; Lace: May Arts; Seam Binding SU!; Roses: Prima

Oh! This is just gorgeous, Rosemary.
Mmmmm, Prima Roses.... nearly as good as mine!!! Ha.
You POSITIVELY know how I am going to rate this card Rosie....it is so my genre, and of all the genres you slide in and out of this is my favourite. The capacity to halt ones brain from becoming addled is to change direction in the way we think about what it is we are comfortable with, not always easy and not always enjoyable, but always we learn something, even if it is to stop ourselves from becoming wearingly dull! So we venture into areas that are different than we normally engage. I am thrilled you are moving beyond CAS, although I know this will always be your first choice, even though I truly believe you have the talent to produce amazing un-CAS like cards.
This comment is beginning to sound like a discourse......A very beautiful card, the muted Palette is docile, caring and inviting, the dominant feeling is soft and warm, Mum will love it.
Smiles:)
