a rainbow...

Hello friends!! Well we made it through the first week of school and I'm dead tired.  Getting the big kid an alarm clock tomorrow so we can make sure that he gets up on time!  Have a little card that I made last night using the current layout from CAS(E) this Sketch.  I must admit that when I saw the sketch my first (and pretty much only thought) was "rainbow"!   I did make sure to flipped the sketch so that my rainbow wasn't upside down, lol!

I have had the MFT rainbow die-namics die for longer than I care to say and have NEVER USED IT!  I have wanted to, but never found the right project... thankfully that project finally came along.  To make sure that my rainbow contained all correct colors I googled rainbows and found out that the colors are as follows:    red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.  I dug around in all my cardstock scraps, found corresponding colors and fired up the ol' Big Shot.  Assembling the rainbow was a bit tricky, but with the help of some tape I got it done.  The cloud is a PTI die and the sentiment is from the Reverse Confetti set Dream in Color.  After adhering the rainbow I added the cloud and sentiment.  A few sequins finished things off.   Thanks to a visit to the blog of the wildly talented Deepti I discovered that this week's CAS - Colours & Sketches challenge is rainbow!  So I will be linking my card up to that challenge, as well as this week's Fetti Find.

Thanks for stopping by...

Supplies:  Cardstock:  PTI white, lemon tart, enchanted evening & plum pudding; SU! pumpkin pie, cherry cobble & night of navy; Stamps:  Reverse Confetti; Ink:  Tuxedo Black; Dies:  MFT rainbow; PTI cloud; Sequins:  Ellen Hutson

Oh yes--another winner! Love this card & the sequins are perfect! Rest up this weekend--the alarm clock sounds like a good idea, but be sure it's far enough from his bed that he can't hit it & go back to sleep!

Your card is an excellent example of the Clean and Simple style! The sequins are a terrific finishing touch - they remind me of raindrops falling from the cloud.
I'm so glad you shared your card with us at CAS - Colours and Sketches! I hope you'll join us again soon for another challenge. :)

Beautiful. I love everything about it. I feel your pain on the rainbow. I actually sold that die because it was such a pain to put together. I have different one now that seems to work better for some reason.

Just saw your card being featured on the CAS(E) blog and was reminded of a similar card I made back in February. I used pearls for my raindrops, though, as sequins were not as popular as they are now LOL. Have a look at http://marianne-cards-n-stuff.blogspot.gr/2013/02/cas2-bonus-day-warm-thoughts.html if you'd like to see my version.
