viva la verve... hello

Hello friends!!  Well our crazy weather has settled down a bit, but not before taking out four sections of our fence.   Hubby already has the sections moved and has a game plan for replacing them as quickly as possible.  As the title implies I have a card for this month's Viva La Verve sketch challenge.  My card uses the sketch for week 2 brought to us by the very talented Teresa Kline.

I used some papers from the My Mind's Eye cut & paste "Adorbs" 6x6 pad and two different Verve sets:  Birthday Poppies and Take Note.  Lots of cutting, distressing and layering going on.  I thought it would be fun to brighten things up a bit by adding the bright yellow sequins to the centers of the flowers.  The dies are Spellbinders plain ovals and a tab die from the Verve die set Tag It.

Thanks for stopping by...

Supplies:  Cardstock:  PTI white; PP:  My Mind's Eye; Stamps:  Verve; Dies:  Spellbinders & Verve; Ink:  Stampin Up! & Memento; Sequins:  Ellen Hutson

Sweet & beautiful--not often done with distressing--love it, Rosemary! So sorry the strong winds caused you some damage. We were lucky as it skipped where we are--problems were north & south of us.

Hi Rosie, love the mix of shabby, distressed papers and that contemporary stamped image, great design. We've had fierce winds here since November and had to renew our fences :)
