The first one I watercolored the previous day and actually threw away after it was done. I used some Ranger Distress Makers and Ranger Old Paper Distress Ink. I wasn't super happy with it which is why it got thrown away. But this morning I decided to give this technique another try using reinkers. But before I started I decided to get my rejected efforts out of the recycle basket and give them another look. I decided that my first effort wasn't so bad and made it into a card. I used the Counting My Blessings mini set and one of the word dies. The card base was embossed with a piece of burlap.
ETA: Since I did emboss the card base I'm going to pop this into the current Simon Say's Stamp Wednesday challenge: embossing.
Thanks for stopping by...

So beautiful Rosemary, love your water colouring here :D x
I like both cards for different reasons. The first card, the flower is so soft and the sentiment is perfect. I love the way you did the middle of the flower on this card. It looks really cool.
The second card I love the rough edges and the twine. The watercoloring is awesome too. It seems to be shaded a bit more then the first.
I found this technique extremely difficult to do and wound up throwing away 3 images before I liked what I had. Yours came out way better!!
WOW!!! You did a great job on both of these Rosemary, but the second is a knockout!!
These are wonderful cards!!! Love the "Blessed" sentiment, too. I haven't used my set, yet, but I will. Love the layout you've done, and the distressing around the edges.
I think they both look great! The deeper colors of the 2nd card draw my eye more, but I do like the softness of the first one too! And you dressed them both up beautifully...they are both keepers! :0)
Did you hear that THUD Rosi? That was my jaw. These are gorgeous. I just love that first one especially. Wow. Gorgeousness.
Threw it away?! You are so not objective about your work, my friend! I do like the depth of colors with the second one, but both are gorgeous!
Both are gorgeous, Rosemary! Good heavens, you are good at every technique you do!
Wonderful cards!!
I think both cards are beautiful, but the second is my favorite.
Two fab cards Rosie, love the softness of the first flower but the layout on the second card really appeals:) sorry for not commenting lately but we are just back from several mini breaks!

Gorgeous! Loving these colors. They both turned out beautifully.
I do not feel so bad since you did it more than once! It is hard! LOL! I am impressed with the trash to treasure card. It is beautiful. I love the second for its vibrant colors. You rock water coloring, Rosemary!
These are both beautiful! Gorgeous watercoloring! Thanks so much for playing along with the Emboss it! Challenge on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog!
Beautiful! I like the painting on the second one more too, but the first one is gorgeous too. The beauty of watercolor... No two are the same :)
