ODBDSLC104 - S P R I N G!!

Hey there!!!  Its Saturday and that means time for another Shining the Light challenge!!  This week's challenge is a word challenge.  We want you to use embellishments, craft items and/or images based on three letters from the word SPRING on your project.  Please make sure to let us know what letters and items you use.  (Example- s=stitching, p=pink, r=ribbon, i=ink, n=nestabilities, g=green)

On my card this week I used the simply adorable brand new ODBD Cat Sympathy set.  Isn't that little kitty just the cutest thing ever??  This set has one of the funniest quotes I have ever seen regarding cats.  It says "Dogs come when they are called.  Cats take a message and get back to you later".    I couldn't agree more with that sentiment!   The layout for the card is based on this month's Sketch for You to Try.   The paper are from the My Mind's Eye Howdy Doody 6x6 pad.   As you can see I decided to finish the inside of the card, as well.  I used the cute little heart with a paw print in it on one side of the card.  The sentiment was stamped on the patterned paper

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize, a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Friday, April 20th at 8 a.m. EST. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday. If you are not using ODBD stamps, please do not enter more than once. Additional entries that are made without using ODBD stamps will not be commented on nor will they qualify for prizes. While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them. As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Light Award. In order to qualify for this award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by Friday, April 20th at 8 a.m. EST. If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword is ODBDSLC104. When creating your posts on blogs please include a link to the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by... please take some time to check out the beautiful projects created by my fellow "sticks" LoriJan MarieJanDebiKathy, Chris and Sabrina! To join in the fun, please click here.

Wonderful take on the sketch, Rosemary. That new set is adorable--I need the puppy one! The papers you used give just the right feel with the roses, which I'd never have thought to use with an animal--Love it!

The Bg Papers beautiful on this card Rosie, and you have kept the subtle feel by stamping your adorable Kitty in Brown, it is not harsh on the eyes, and you know finishing off the inside of cards make them that much special. Wonderful work, I may have to try this Challenge.
Smiles:)
