be happy...

Hey there!!  Hope your week is off to a good start.  Mine is... my youngest is on spring break this week so we will be fitting some fun outings (had one today!) into our week.  In between the fun I will be trying to get some projects made for some fun things I have coming up in the next week or so that I am super excited about... can't wait to share!!!  Today I have another fun card that I put together using paper embellishments and a little bit of paper from the Bella Blvd Make Your Make collection.  This one is for the current CAS(E) this Sketch challenge and I will also be adding it to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge.  The card pretty self-explanatory:  Strip of paper along the side and then have fun layering up all the little embellishments.   There is a tiny bit of stamping because the little word 'be' that came in the embellishment pack didn't actually look like the word 'be'.  It looked more like 'he' and I didn't want any confusion so I just stamped the word on white cardstock in black, trimmed it out and adhered.  Super simple, but I love it!!

Have a wonderful day!!

shine on...

Hey there!!  Popping in with a quick post to share a card for the soon to be closing Freshly Made Sketch challenge.  No a lick of stamping on this card.  I used fun papers and embellishments from the Bella Blvd Make Your Mark collection.  I started with the little polka dot square you see peeking out from the bottom, added a clip from the collection and then adhered it on point.  Then the fun started as I layered up the sweet flower cluster, the little border strip, the sentiment and finished with the polka dot heart and a sweet little puffy sticker heart.  My youngest has the day off from school and the weather is pretty good so we are heading out on an adventure to check out one of our state parks.  And bonus... today is Washington State Park's birthday so all state parks are free!!!  YAY!!

Have a wonderful day!

Supplies:  All supplies are from Bella Blvd except the cardstock base which is PTI Fresh Snow linen cardstock

birds of a feather...

Hello friends!!  Back with a card to share.  Hope you like it... it is really outside my comfort zone!  Way out..., lol!!

I combined Cure for the Monday Blues with the new CAS(E) this Sketch layout.  I also could pop it into Virginia's first challenge:  Watercoloring since I watercolored on the tag.  And finally I just discovered that it would work for the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge:  Tag It.   This was definitely a "fiddly" card as I spent a long time trying to make sure that the feather looked okay (not sure I succeeded, lol) and figuring out if I should add something to obscure the hole in tag.  Tried this and that and finally settled on some thin black twine tied in a bow.  I think it works or this could just be a complete "hot mess"!  Anyway... tell me what you think.  Stamps are Avery Elle so I will also be popping it into their new challenge:  embellishments.

I really took a bit of license with the CTS sketch, but hopefully you can still see the basic idea there. I spritzed a piece of watercolor paper with water and then using my So Saffron reinker brushed on the light yellow.  After the piece was dry I die cut the tag using my Reverse Confetti tag die.  The sentiment was stamped using watermark ink, white embossing powder applied and heat set.  The "together" was stamped, trimmed out and added to the tag using foam dimensionals.  After adhering the feather I added the tag, some green sequins, the bow and I was done.
