Hey there!! Here with a card for a couple of challenges: CASE Study and ColourQ. I love ColourQ because Arielle sure knows how to pick some fantastic color combos. But this week's combo sure was a challenge for me. I think what I finally came up with combines the colors fairly well, but I'm still a bit iffy about it. Combining it with this week's CASE Study challenge did help me out immensely, though. I really liked the layout of March muse, Laura's card and so decided to play along.
Today I got happy mail in the form of some Hero Arts stamps! One of them is the beautiful botanical stamp called Fleurettes. I wanted that stamp the moment I laid eyes on it and now it is finally mine. I can't wait to color it up with some Copic markers. Today I simply inked it up with some pale lavender ink (SU!'s Wisteria Wonder) and stamped it on white cardstock. The sentiment, also from Hero Arts, was stamped using a dark purplish sort of color (SU!'s Rich Razzleberry), which I was afraid would overwhelm the lavendar, but I think the two work well together given the way I stamped each image. I finished off the card with a row of scallops in pale aqua and turquoise cardstock and a few turquoise gems. Another very simple card. But, you know what... there is nothing wrong with simple!!
Thanks for stopping by and for your lovely comments....

Rosi....absolutely beautiful! Wow. Oh Wow. I love love it. Smitten.
BEAUTIFUL card..I love the new stamp!! hugs
No there is nothing wrong with 'simple' Rosie, when it is used correctly, and as you know I have issues with the word; especially when it relates to card making.
The word Simple has a variety of meanings; and easy, plain, uncomplicated, and effortless is not conducive to describing one layered cards, as so often they are.
I would never call your cards simple, stunning yes, as this describes your card perfectly; beautiful, impressive, gorgeous and remarkable, now you look at your card again and tell me truthfully which word defines your creation the best.
I think you will agree the latter wins hands down.
Have a great weekend.
Smiles:)
