This past Monday I was so excited to learn that my card was picked to be the in Tea Time Terrific Top 3 at the
Shabby Tea Room! (The card also earned top honors from the gals at JUGs!!) I was really excited because it was only my second time participating in the challenge. So... this week I just had to make a card. The challenge this week is titled
Classic Elegance and we are challenged to use red, black and white or cream. I decided to go with red, black & white.

For my card I used some fairly new Layers of Colors cling stamps, Victorian Frame & Floweret. The Victorian Frame stamp was designed to be used with one of my favorite Spellbinders die, Labels 14. I stamped the frame twice on white cardstock, one time in black and the second time in red and then die cut each using the largest Labels 14 die for the black frame and the third largest die to cut the red frame. The floweret image was stamped on the red diecut frame and then again on white cardstock using black ink (Memento Tuxedo Black). I colored the second image with Copic markers R36, R59, C1 & C2. This was trimmed out and adhere to the red frame. A strip of dotted red paper was adhered to the card base and the frames layered on top. The sentiment from Hero Arts Find Joy set was stamped using black ink. A couple of rhinestones were added to finish the card.
I'm also going to put the card into the current
Play Date Cafe' challenge: Black & White with a splash of color (player's choice)... red being my color.
Thanks for taking a peek...
