PDCC31 & FTTC68
I haven't had a chance to do a Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge in a long time. The current challenge is to use handmade flowers on your card. I combined FTTC68 with Play Date Cafe's current color challenge, PDCC31 and the current SCS sketch SC282.
My color choices are pretty loosely based on the PDCC color challenges, but they do state that the colors are open to our interpretation. I made some more of those rolled paper flowers for my handmade flowers. The stamp is a Hero Arts flourish stamp. Sentiment and small flourish are from the Flourishes set Sweet Violets.
Thanks for taking a peek!
Supplies: Cardstock: PTI - White; Patterned Paper - Prima Iron Orchid Designs; KaiserCraft pearls; PTI - Lavender Moom grosgrain ribbon; Ink: PTI - Plum Pudding; Stamps: Flourishes Sweet Violets; Hero Arts - Outline Bold Flourish

And Now For My Second Post!
This card is for the current ColorQ challenge. Arielle, the Color Queen, sure knows how to find some challenging color combos! This one was no exception!
The majority of the stamps are from Hero Arts. The sentiment is from Savvy Stamps. I don't have Ballet Blue ink, so I found one that was as close as possible - Fresh Ink's Capri Blue.
I think thats enough for tonight! Thanks for taking a peak!
Supplies: Cardstock: SU! Choc. Chip & Ballet Blue; PTI White & kraft; Ink: SU! Pumpkin Pie & Certain Celery; Fresh Ink - Capri Blue; Stamps: Hero Arts: Starburst & Speckled Ornaments set; Savvy Stamps - Just a Note; Fiskars Threading Water punch; Hero Arts - Hero Hues orange rhinestone.
I used the sketch from Clean & Simple, FTL92 for the card. I may also put this into the current CAS-tastic Challenge , CWC005 to use a touch of green.

JUGs Wild Card & Color Cue #4
Since there are five Saturdays in the month of May it is "Wild Card Challenge" day over at the JUGs challenge blog. The JUGs gals, and a lovelier group of gals you will not find, have thrown out the challenge to use the dry embossing technique. I combined their challenge with the current Color Cue challenge over at the WPlus9Design Studio blog. And in honor of WPlus9Design sponoring 2Sketches4You I used their Sketch #53. I absolutely adore the WPlus9 sets Woodgrain Silhouettes and Woodgrain Silhouettes Additions and used both sets for the card. If you have never been to WPlus9Design, you need to check the store and blog out. Dawn, the owner, is an amazingly talented papercrafter and stamp designer. As a matter of fact, right now she is showing sneak peaks of her newest sets and they are fabulous!
I stamped the large woodgrain image from Woodgrain Silhouettes onto the Enchanted Evening cardstock using CTMH's White Daisy ink. I embossed a piece of Lemon Tart using a Provo Craft embossing folder whose's name I do not know. Stamped the flower images on PTI's white using Enchanted Evening, colored them with a blue Prisma pencil and then cut them out. I did a little pleated ribbon treatment at the bottom.
Thanks for taking a peak!

Father's Day Easel Card + CTD94
I have been wanting to make an easel card for along time now and finally decided to give it a try. I used the color combo from the current Color Throwdown. The colors seemed pretty masculine to me so I made a father's day card that I will be giving to my father-in-law. I used multiple Hero Arts stamps and an alphabet set from Close to My Heart on the card. I used PTI's Rustic Cream as a neutral for the card base and for stamping on.
All in all I think the card turned out nice and hopefully my father-in-law will like it. Thanks for taking a peek! Have a blessed day!
Supplies: Cardstock: PTI - Rustic Cream; SU! - So Saffron; Close to Cocoa; Ink: SU! Soft Sky, Old Olive; Ranger Spiced Marmalade Distress ink; Close to My Heart brads; May Arts twine; Stamps: Hero Arts - Silhouette Grass; One of A Kind set & Antique Engravings; Close to My Heart Typewriter Keys; SU! border punch

Welcome to the Neighborhood - DeNami Sketch #2
Several weeks ago I went to the Heirloom's Stamp show at the Western Washington Fairgrounds in Puyallup, Washington. While there I visited the DeNami Design booth and got to meet the lovely Paulina! I also spent all of my money at the DeNami booth (and it wasn't a whole lot I had to spend....sigh!). The current DeNami challenge is a sketch challenge.
My card took a bit of license with the sketch, but I love how it turned out. The stamp I used is one that I purchased at the Heirloom's show.
I colored the birdhouses with Prisma pencils and gamsol. I love coloring this way, but I'm so excited because at the end of June I will be taking the Copic Certification class in Seattle (actually Tukwila).
Thanks for taking a peek at my card. I so appreciate your comments!
Supplies: Cardstock: DeNami Design Lime; PTI - White; DCWV pp; Stamp: DeNami Design Birdhouses; PTI Springtime Doodles; Prisma Pencils; Gamsol

I'm a Little Tea... Cup! - JUGs 34
The current JUGs challenge is a template challenge which I generally don't participate in because I find templates to be a little well, challenging! I have messed around with a few, most notably templates created by the uber creative template queen, Lauren Meader. However, when I saw the tea cup template created by Claire Brennan, owner of WaltzingMouse Stamps, I was smitten! I just had to get that template and give it a go. While it looked complicated at first, turns out the little tea cup and saucer are pretty easy to put together. The hardest part was creating the "footer". I think I did a pretty good job for my first outing with this little template. I don't think it will be my last....
I used PTI's Vintage Cream cardstock to make the cup and saucer to give it a little more weight. I used a little image from the WaltzingMouse set Very Vintage Labels 10 to decorate the cup. I stamped the image using SU! Pretty in Pink. The rim of the cup and saucer were edged with gold ink. To finish it off I added Champagne stickles and a pink bow.
Supplies: Template: WaltzingMouse - Tea Cup; Cardstock: PTI Vintage Cream; Ink: SU! Pretty in Pink; Encore Gold; Champagne stickles; Midori Pink Organza ribbon
Embellish Challenge
I was intrigued by the current Embellish color challenge and decided to give it a try. Initially I had a really great idea that didn't work when I tried to put it into practice, so I went CAS. This is what I came up with:
I used PTI's Fillable Frames #1 and a Spellbinders Nesties die Labels #4. Thanks for taking a look.
Supplies: Cardstock: PTI Kraft & True Black; SU! Kiwi Kiss; Ink: PTI True Black; Dies: Spellbinders Labels 4; PTI Fillable Frames #1; SU! Beautiful Wings embosslits die; Stamps: PTI Fillable Frames #1

Sky's The Limit Challenge
Jenny's challenge this week is to make a project based on things that you generally find in the sky: clouds, planes, birds, etc. Initially this card was based on the current Splitcoaststampers CAS challenge to make a summertime card. As I was thinking about what I would do I immediately thought of the Hero Arts set, Be Happy. Then I thought of the Hero Arts Cloud background stamp and my card was born!
I did a bit of paper piecing for the flower and the bee. And I gave that pleated ribbon treatment another try.
Thanks for taking a look!
Starburst Lace & PDCC30
I started this card last night and wasn't completely happy with the way the image had turned out. When I took a second look this morning, I was so glad I didn't throw the image away. The color inspiration is from the current Play Date Cafe' challenge, light yellow, light pink & light green.
I stamped the Hero Arts Starburst Lace image on PTI's Vintage Cream cardstock, embossed and then Scattered Straw & Bundled Sage Distress inks were added to the image. The sentiment is also from Hero Arts, Thoughtful Messages.

CTD93 & FTL91
Another color challenge card, today. This time using the colors from Color Throwdown 93. Such lovely colors and so hard for me to put together! And when I find it hard to put colors together, I love to turn to CAS sketches from Clean & Simple . This time FTL91.
I used the Delightful Dahlias set from PTI for the card, along with PTI's white cardstock for the panel (love Stamper's Select white! best stuff around!). The patterned paper is also PTI.
Thanks for taking a look! Have a blessed day!

ColourQ #33
I found the ColourQ challenge blog a few weeks ago and I finally have the opportunity to play along. I used a sketch from Clean & Simple for the card.
Suppplies: Cardstock: SU! Bermuda Bay & Soft Suede, PTI White; Ink: CTMH Chocolate, PTI Summer Sunrise, Palette Cote Azure, SU! Kiwi Kiss; Ribbon: PTI Hawaiian Shores; Stamps: PTI Dot Spot & Round & Round; SU! Scallop Border punch
I have also dearly wanted to use my Dot Spot set from PTI and thought this challenge was the perfect fit. I also discovered that SU's Bermuda Bay and PTI's Hawaiian Shores are a pretty close match.

Jenny's Challenge
Today's card is for Jenny's Challenge (wee Memories) to make a card using some of her favorites, one of them being pink!
I got out another long neglected Hero Arts cling called "Hello" for this card. I stamped it in Memento Rosebud ink on two different SU! pinks... Pink Pirouette and Pretty in Pink and then layered as shown. Lots of pearls, stickles and rhinestones! Patterned paper is from DCWV's The Sweet Stack. Card base is PTI's Stamper Select white. Thanks for taking a look!

Second Post of the Day!
Yikes! My 2nd post of the day! This one is for ODBDSLC13 to use flowers on your card. I used a Hero Arts stamp, Floral Scallop, along with the ODBD set Life Up Our Hands. This should be it for the day!
JUGs challenge and a thank you!
Okay, so this blogging thing is going pretty good, so far and I must thank my sweet friends, Elise and Cindy for giving me some help last night when I started my blog. I have figured out how to post all those blog badges that were cooling their heels on my computer and have done a few other things. This is definitely a work in progress!
Now, on to my card for the current JUGs challenge to use red white & blue and kraft as an option. Card base is PTI's kraft and the patterned paper is from a Websters Pages 6x6 combo pack. I also used PTI's Rustic White cardstock instead of white.
