New Year... New Birch Press Design!

Hello, hello!  Popping in to share a card I made with new products from Birch Press Design!  The BPD blog is still down so I will continue to post my projects here on my blog until further notice.  Let's have a look at what I made.

Birch Press Design recently released a new line of dies called Block Print featuring beautiful birds.  No one does birds better than Memory Box and since BPD is a part of Memory Box this bird dies are absolutely amazing!!  I chose to create something using the Hummingbird die set.  How sweet is that hummingbird?

I die cut all the pieces from white cardstock and then used small ink blending brushes from Waffle Flower to apply the inks (pinks, greens, yellow, and dark gray)  For the belly of the bird I applied the yellow ink and then brushed on some of the pink to create the more orange portion of the belly.  Once the ink blending was done and I had assembled the hummingbird, I brushed on some glossy accents and then added some Rock Candy glitter for a little sparkle.  I applied a light blending of blue ink to white cardstock and then die cut it with a Memory Box arched die.  That was layered on a rectangle of cream woodgrain cardstock from Memory Box.

To finish the card I used the brand new Foliage Bunch and the Floral Cross die set that was released last year to create my little flowering stem.  The sentiment is from the new Vintage Everyday Greetings stamp set.   The stem was adhered and then I stamped the sentiment.  The hummingbird was adhered with glue and a thin foam square.

That is it for me.  Hope you will head over to the Birch Press Design website to check out all the new products.  Adding this to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of clean and simple.  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Hummers are always beautiful and this one is no exception! Love the colors of choice, and that added bit of sparkle
