A Heartfelt Thank You

Hi and welcome to the Heartfelt Creations Design Team Thank You Blog Hop!  If you got here from sweet Anita's blog, then you are on the right track.  If you want to start from the beginning, just head to Linda's blog!  All our projects will have a "thank you" theme to them.

Our time as the current Heartfelt Creations design team is coming to an end {insert sad face} and one of the design team gals, Linda, had the idea to have a blog hop to thank owner/stamp designer, Linda, and her daughter/design team coordinator, Emma Lou, for the wonderful time we have had being a part of this company. 

My time on the design team has been especially exciting and fun for me as this is the very first time I have ever been on a design team (and I hope it isn't the last time I get picked for a design team!).  I can't tell you how excited I was to find out I had been picked!  I am so incredibly thankful for the support that Linda and Emma Lou have provided to us as a team and for the amazing stamps and dies that I have gotten to work with these last five months.   Now on to my card:

I used stamps from one of my most favorite Heartfelt Creations collection:  Posy Patch (HCPC3303 Posy Patch Flowers).   One of the things I love about the collection is the matching Heartfelt Creations/Spellbinders dies that you can purchase to go along with the collection.  The dies make cutting the flowers out super simple.  I stamped the flowers using Tea Dye distress ink and then sponged them with Tattered Rose distress ink.  Once they were die cut I added some Worn Lipstick distress ink to them.  The papers are from My Minds Eye Stella & Rose: Hazel Collection.  I distressed the edges a bit with a sanding block and then applied some Tattered Rose.  The "thanks" sentiment is from the Heartfelt Creations set HCPC3328 Swirly Autumn Leaves.

Its Sunny the Tuesday Trigger Way...

Quickie post today with a card I made for the Moxie Fab Tuesday Tigger, An Idea In Yellow.  When I saw the trigger this week I just had to get something made.  The bright yellow door is what sparked my imagination.    I have seen lots of people making amazing cards using paper doilies and I just had to give it a try.   This is what I came up with (which has absolutely nothing to do with the trigger picture!!):

Its a bit outside my "box" but I really like it.  The only problem I see is how to mail it!  I suppose this card would fall into the category of "I'm going to deliver it by hand".  Anyway, I do love how the card turned out.

Ready For Spring!

Like alot of us I am so ready for spring!  We haven't had the really bad weather like alot of the country has, but there still has been plenty to grumble about here in Washington state! 

My card today is pretty spring like with the bright pink and green combo.  I used this same combo for a card I posted earlier this week.  I just love the Making Memories Dilly Dally papers and had to use them again.  The card is for the following challenges:  Sentimental Sundays - Anything Goes; City Crafters - Spring Fling  and the Moxie Fab paper piecing challenge.  The stamps used are from Penny Black and Savvy Stamps.   The flowers were paper pieced (obviously!!) and the leaves were colored with Copic markers (sorry... don't remember what colors I used.).   Some bakers twine from the Twinery and Impress and some pink rhinestones finished everything off.

A Christmas Card... in March!

Yep... another Christmas card.  This time I made the card for two Our Daily Bread Design challenges: ODBD Shining the Light & Stamping in Time.  The ODBDSLC challenge is a sketch and the Stamping in Time is to make... a Christmas card. 

I used my ODBD set Blessed Christmas for the card.  Blessed Christmas includes a beautiful poinsettia image and has a coordinating die making it easy peasy to cut out the image.   I colored the poinsettia with the following Copic markers:  R24, R27, R29, Y21, YG93 & YG93 and then die cut it with the coordinating die.  I diecut the oval frame using my Heartfelt Creations Decorative Oval Window Die.  A plain oval was cut using a Spellbinders die and then stamped with the sentiment from Blessed Christmas. The patterned paper is from the Basic Grey Jovial 6x6 pad.

A Heartfelt Wednesday Post

A couple of cards today that I made using Heartfelt Creations stamps.   The first card is made using the Posey Patch Swirls set and my recently acquired Spellbinders Labels 17 dies.  I think I like those dies as much as I like the Labels 4 dies.   To make the card I simply created a regular A2 size card with the fold at the top and then positioned the largest die from the set so a portion of it extended off the card base to allow for the "hinge". Probably should have taken photos or something...   The swirl image was stamped on cream cardstock using Memento Bamboo Leaves.  All the flowers were stamped using Memento Dandelion and then die cut using the matching Posey Patch dies.  Some Diamond Stickles were added to the center of each flower and I was done. 

The second card was made using Semper Augustus Tulips set and the matching Springtime Medley dies.  I stamped the image on cardstock and then colored the image with Copic markers.   The image was stamped again, the tulips colored and then die cut using the small tulip die from the Springtime Medley die set.  What a time saver to have the matching dies!  I die cut the main image using a Spellbinder Oval die and then die cut theCameo Coral cardstock using the Decorative Oval Window Die.   The two pieces were adhered as shown and the tulips adhered using foam dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock with Cameo Coral ink and then die cut with a Labels 11 die.  The card base was covered with the patterned paper and then the ribbon was tied around the card.  The focal image was adhered to the card front and the tag added.

CR84FN is JustRite!

My card today uses the current colors from CR84FN of  light pink, bright pink & chartreuse, an absolutely lovely and springy color combination!   While I know I have patterned paper in all three of those colors, it didn't stop me from wanting to find something new and fresh to use to make my card.  I got that chance on Monday when I was able to stop at my favorite stamp store, Impress Rubber Stamps.  They had papers from the Making Memories line Dilly Dally that worked perfectly with the CR84FN colors.   So... I got a couple of sheets. 

I'm also putting this card into the current JustRite challenge to use the "direct to rubber" method of inking your stamps (coloring the image with markers so you have more than one color on the stamp).  I used my Memento Angel Pink, Rose Bud & Cottage Ivy markers to color the sweet pea and border images from the JustRite set My Garden.   I then colored the sweet peas with the following Copic markers:  RV21, RV23, YG00 & YG03.   I diecut the sweet peas and the border using Spellbinders large circle dies and then lightly inked the edges with some Spun Sugar distress ink.    The card was finished off with some chartreusey May Arts silk ribbon.... yummy!
