 Hello!  I have two cards to share today and both cards use the phrase 'for you' thus my blog title.  First up is a card for the current Fab Friday challenge.   Back in December I received the a limited edition Gina K Designs tiny wreath builder set when I made a purchase from Simon Says Stamp.  I finally pulled it out and used it to create my card.  It is super easy to use the wreath builder template.  I was a little bummed when I discovered that one of the circular sentiments in the set has a huge flaw in it so I won't be able to use it.  I used four of the colors to create my wreath and the fifth color for the circular sentiment.  The squares were die cut with Spellbinders square dies and the circle with a Spellbinders circle die.  I layered everything up on a rectangle die cut from white cardstock and then adhered to a white cardstock base.  I finished the card with some black and white baker's twine.

The second card is for this month's Reverse Confetti Stock Your Stash challenge, Freshly Made Sketches challenge and the Card Concept challenge (clean and simple).  I used an older Reverse Confetti stamp and die set called Beautiful Banners along with the two heart dies from the Love Notes Confetti Cuts die set.  I cut the hearts from the following RC colors:  Piggy Bank, Rose and Salsa.  The were the colors that I pulled from the inspiration photo. I arranged the hearts on white cardstock per the sketch.  The banner and sentiment from the Beautiful Banner set were stamped using VersaFine CLAIR Nocturne ink.   The banner was die cut, I adhered all the pieces to a white cardstock panel and adhered the panel to a card base made from Rose cardstock.  I finished with some Pretty Pink Posh sparkling clear sequins.  Realized that this would work for the current Time Out challenge.

snow one like you...

Hello!  Hope your week is off to a good start! I'm popping in with another card made with supplies from the super cute Simon Says Stamp January card kit.  This time I used one of the sweet penguins from the Snow Much stamp set.  The layout is based off of the current CTS sketch so I will be posting it over there, as well as at the Paper Players since their challenge this week is to use a critter.  Pretty simple card.  Stamped the penguin in VersaFine CLAIR Nocturne ink, trimmed him out and then colored his beak with Wild Honey and Ripe Persimmon distress markers.  Some of the patterned paper from the kit was die cut with a small AJVD rectangle die and stamped with the sentiment (also using the Nocturne ink).  I die cut additional paper from the kit with the largest AJVD rectangle die and then layered everything on a white cardstock base.  Like I said... pretty simple!

snow much thanks...

Hey there!  Hope you had a great week!  I'm popping in with a thank you card that I made with the super fun Simon Says Stamp January card kit called Snow Much.   I used the layout from Freshly Made Sketches for my card so I will be posting it there, as well as over at Inspired By challenge which just so happens to be about snowmen!   And since I am using new products for my card I will be adding it to the gallery at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge.   I started by stamping one of the snowmen from the set on white cardstock with VersaFine CLAIR Nocturne ink and then colored him with Prisma color pencils.  Once I was done I trimmed him out.  I die cut papers that are from with AJVD Stitched Dot Rectangle dies and layered them on a light blue cardstock base (cardstock from the kit).  The sentiment was stamped on the top rectangle using VersaFine CLAIR Twilight ink.  Strips of coordinating cardstock were adhered to the card front.  I coiled a length of silver thread on the strips and then adhered the snowman on top using foam tape.

Guesting over at Color Throwdown!

Happy new year everyone!  I'm starting off the year by guesting over at one of my favorite challenges:  Color Throwdown!   The color palette today is absolutely fabulous one of yellow, green, black and white.  Isn't that inspiration photo gorgeous!?  I pulled out a stamp and die set that I recently purchased from Altenew called Always There to create my card.  I also used the layout from Fab Friday so I will be adding my card to their gallery.  I started by stamping the flowers and leaves in black ink and then adding in the details using only two of the layering stamps from the set.  I really like the way the flowers and leaves turned out.  I die cut everything with the matching dies.  I used an AJVD circle die to cut my circle from black cardstock and then layered up the flowers and leaves.  Per the sketch my rectangle behind the circle was cut from silver glitter cardstock.  I die cut white cardstock with an AJVD rectangle die and then layered everything on a light gray cardstock base.  I finished by stamping the sentiment in black ink on white cardstock, trimming it down and adhering it to the flowers.  I just discovered that the challenge over at SIP is thank you so I'm going to add my card to their line up.
