the earth laughs....

hello friends!!  hope your week is going well.  my little guy is half way through his first week of all day kindergarten and things are going amazingly well.   this morning he told me, again, that he loves school!!  that makes this mommy's heart happy!!

have a card for this week's dynamic duo combo of cajun craze and alway artichoke.  i don't have cajun craze so i used really rust and some autumn terracotta cardstock from close to my heart.  the layout is courtesy of the very talented chupa and her sketchbook saturday sketch challenge.  all the stamps used are from stampin up! (fast and fabulous).  the dies are also from stampin up!  the other day i decided to take a look at the rules over at dynamic duos and saw that i can use several different neutral colors on my card in addition to the weekly duo.  so for this card i added some kraft cardstock into the mix along with white.    when i finished the card a few days ago i wasn't to sure about it, but it has grown on me and i'm quite happy with it!

supplies:  cardstock:  pti white & kraft; close to my heart autumn terracotta; ink:  su! really rust and always artichoke; stamps:  stampin up!; dies:  stampin up!; swiss dots embossing folder

So very pretty. I didn't think of this color combo as very 'pretty,' but you have made it into gorgeous here. Love that beautiful flower framed out so well. Great use of the colors. Glad you could join Dynamic Duos this week. ;-)

I really like the way you used the colours for the Dynamic Duo challenge -- I'm a sucker for cards with kraft used on them. I especially like the way you framed your colourful flower!
Thanks for playing along
Cheers, Karen
