holiday blessings...

Hello friends.... have a little card to share for this week's Less is More challenge, as well as for the current Dynamic Duos challenge.   For this week's Less is More challenge we are being asked to use red and green which just happens to be the Dynamic Duos' color challenge, as well!!  Yay!!  The layout is based on the current sketch from Clean & Simple.

After checking out the C&S sketch I decided to use my very neglected PTI Winterberry stamp & die sets for the card.  I die cut the little tree and then stamped the image using Certain Celery ink.  I will admit that it took me at least three attempts to get the tree stamped perfectly centered on the die cut.  I am also going to admit that I messed up the little red berries several times, too!  The berries were added using red Liquid Pearls and on the first try (on a tree that was stamped slightly off center) the berries came out a little to gloppy.  The second one I dropped on the floor... and it landed face down!! Finally on the last try I was able to get perfect little berries.    Thankfully third time turned out to be the charm!!   Not the most imaginative card, but certainly cute.

Thanks for stopping by....

Supplies:  Cardstock:  PTI white; SU! Riding Hood Red; Stamps:  PTI; Ink:  Stampin Up! Certain Celery; Dies:  PTI; Ranger Red Liquid Pearls; SU! border punch

That's a super cute tree image, and I love how the red border is just enough color to make this tree stand out! Cute!

I love the sketch & I love this card, Rosemary! I'm impressed you could get the berries in 3 tries--I struggle using my Liquid Pearls & never get them perfect.
