Hello friends!! Tuesday has arrived and that means time for a brand new CASology challenge!! Everyone really rocked the challenge last week and came up with some really fabulous cards using the song cue word. This week we have another great cue word for you: hope. All the details for the challenge can be found
here.
For my card this week I decided to use a lovely stamp set from the Craft's Meow called Hope Blooms. The set has all these beautiful line drawn flowers and quotes. I stamped one of the flowers and the sentiment using Tuxedo Black ink on cream cardstock and then colored the flower using pale green and pale pink Copic markers. Once I was done coloring the image I mounted the piece on a cream cardstock base. A very, very simple card using one of my favorite layouts. I did give a few moments thought to adding maybe a few pearls, but decided against it because I honestly think that adding those few pearls would have just been a distraction. Clean and simple may seem like it is easy, but in fact it can be very hard because you really need to exercise restraint and know when to recognize that you have added too much to your card... even if it is just a few pearls.
Thanks for stopping by.... I really cannot wait to see what hope related ideas all you super talented papercrafters come up with for this challenge!! In the meantime make sure you check out the cards from the rest of the design team: M

Supplies: Cardstock: PTI Vintage Cream; Stamps: The Craft's Meow; Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Copic markers

Rosie, I love the softness of your flower and what a beautiful sentiment!
I love how you used soft pastels for your flower...such a pretty card! Love your quote, too!
Ahhhh....love the pale pink pastel shade on the flower. So beautiful!
This is such a simple stated and quiet card, it really means what it says! Love it!
Just gorgeous Rosie, love the soft pastel of your flower.
Hello Rosie
You amaze me, not only are you the Queen of minimalist; where a card is reduce to its bare essentials, but now you are reducing your colour palette! But the distressing part in all of this is that you darn well make it work!!!!!!!!Of course I have no idea how you do this, and I agree 100% that it is the most difficult part in designing; knowing when to stop. I never know when to stop.
It is a card that is so stark in f imagery and colour that it grabs you and you can't stop looking at it; magical is the word I would use to describe this.
Would I have added the pearls....what do you think???
Smiles:)

This is a perfect message and image for the hope cue ~ an absolutely beautiful card!
Love the soft green around the base of the stem. I know what you mean about CAS- they are hard to do without overadding stuff. Beautiful card!
